Sometimes there are rural community traditions that start on smaller scales, and as the cities around them grow, they follow suit. One long-running tradition of the Texas Hill Country area, just east of Fredericksburg, is the Fredericksburg Trade Days. When you stay with us at Inn On Barons Creek, you will be staying in one of the convenient Fredericksburg TX hotels on Main Street. Trade Days is only 7 miles out of town and is an event you will not want to miss when you are in the area.
When And Where
Taking place every weekend of the third Saturday a month, Sunday Farms holds the Fredericksburg Trade Days. There are seven barns and acres of land that contain over 350 vendors each weekend of the event. On Fridays and Saturdays, the grounds open at 9 AM and close at 6 PM. On Sundays, hours run from 9 AM to 4 PM. There is a small fee of $5 for parking that is good for the weekend and portions of the proceeds are given to local charities.
Another Man’s Treasure
You can find just about anything at Fredericksburg Trade Days. From knickknacks to clothing and jewelry. They say that “If you can’t find it here, you don’t need it!” because of the extensive variety of vendors and items. Many local artists, farmers, craftsmen, and everything in between bring their goods down for the weekend for all to enjoy. Munch on local treats while listening to live musicians while you shop and enjoy a full day of discovery.
